how 2 know the will of God for your life.. you won't learn it in the RCC
you probably won't get support in the RCC, if it is not an established ministry training system
“Take Up your Cross and Follow Me”
Luke.9 :23 And he said to all, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Mark.8: 34 And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Luke.9: 23 And he said to all, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Luke.14: 7 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.”
The man, made easy philosophy that teaches that “all that is required for ones “salvation”
The man, made easy philosophy that teaches that “all that is required for ones “salvation” is to ask God to “be my personal Lord and Savior” may make one all warm and fuzzy inside. But it will not get one to heaven. It will not bring of itself salvation. Believing that anyone can or will attain participation in Christ Glory without first sharing in Christ Passion and suffering is a naïve, foolish, even nonsensical teachings of mortal men; who themselves claim to know more and or know better that the God Inspired Bible. [2nnd. Tim 3:16] Protected [John 17:15-19] and Guided Catholic Church. [John 14:16-17; fulfilled in John 20:21-22] …These verses provide direct evidence of Christ teaching and personal commitment to the catholic Church. One can know this based on the fact that when these words were written; the only Church and only Christian Faith in the ENTIRE World; was today’s Catholic Church and our Faith-belief -teachings.
darn it("The office of binding and loosing which was given to Peter was also assigned to the college of the apostles united to its head."I [Jesus] will give you {Peter} [SINGULAR] the keys of the kingdom of heaven,
[See above John 20:20-23, and this: Matt. 16: 18-19] “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it.
I [Jesus] will give you {Peter} [SINGULAR] the keys of the kingdom of heaven,
and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." And passed to other Apostles and therefore the CC in Matt. 18:18 “Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
1444 “In imparting to his apostles his own power to forgive sins the Lord also gives them the authority to reconcile sinners with the Church. This ecclesial dimension of their task is expressed most notably in Christ's solemn words to Simon Peter:
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
"The office of binding and loosing which was given to Peter was also assigned to the college of the apostles united to its head."
1446 “Christ instituted the sacrament of Penance for all sinful members of his Church: above all for those who, since Baptism, have fallen into grave sin, and have thus lost their baptismal grace and wounded ecclesial communion. It is to them that the sacrament of Penance offers a new possibility to convert and to recover the grace of justification.
The Fathers of the Church present this sacrament as "the second plank [of salvation] after the shipwreck which is the loss of grace”
St Joan of Arc was burned at the stake (a barbecue) for listening and praying to saints
Do Protestants Believe in the Saints ? Yes BUT, not the same understanding of the term as Catholics have.
WHY don’t Protestants pray to saints? … Because the bible tells us not too [“because they are idols.”]
“To answer the Catholic argument that “saints do answer prayers” with miracles, we must respond that spiritual manifestations [including miracles] can come from two different places: God, or the Devil and his demons.” …
When Joan was about 12 years old, she began hearing "voices" of St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret believing them to have been sent by God. These voices told her that it was her divine mission to free her country
THIS FRIENDS IS A SPIRITUAL IMPOSSIBILITY. JUST AS GOD CANNOT CAUSE EVIL DIRECTLY; SATAN IS LIMITED BY GOD IN WHAT HE CAN accomplish IN GOD’S NAME. (patrick miron)
Heresy was the charge during the trial of Joan of Arc; many believed she had actually spoken to God. Even the executioner, Geoffroy Therage, later said that after Joan of Arc died, he greatly feared being damned for his part to play in helping Joan of Arc be burned at the stake.
Joan was captured and put on trial for heresy by her English enemies under the auspices of a Church trial. She was ultimately convicted and declared a relapsed heretic and burned at the stake on May 30, 1430.
These same powers and authority granted to the Apostles continue to flow through His one Church (the RCC) not Protestant churches
While Satan can cause UNNATURAL phenomenon to happen; he cannot cause good to happen in order to deceive those who are and strive to be good.; which is the point missed by our Brother Thomas … God’s Saints always and every time who have miracles performed THROUGH THEM BY GOD, always and every time do so for a good. This follows the example set by Christ Himself while He was on earth.
Matt. 10: 1-8 “And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every infirmity. The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zeb'edee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. These twelve Jesus sent out, charging them, "Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And preach as you go, saying, `The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying, give without pay.”
it appears that luke 10;10-17 may not apply to this concept of church with the 72 that were sent out
The Protestant position claims that Catholic’s “ARE FACTUALLY Idolaters”
The Protestant position claims that Catholic’s “ARE FACTUALLY Idolaters” … Is founded on a serious lack of understanding that Catholics prayers to Mary and the Saints ARE meant for them alone. Such is NOT THE TRUTH! Our prayers still ascend to GOD, but through Mary and the Saints as intercessors, which according to the understanding of Thomas makes this practice “idolatry.”
This practice is NO MORE idolatrous than pictures of Luther, Wesley, Smith, Calvin or others. And yes even though they are not prayed “to” neither do our Prayer intensions end with Mary and the saints. The GOAL and the end of our Prayers is Jesus Christ Himself. They pass-through; FROM Mary and the Saints to Jesus. And here is how we know that God, and the Bible do not prohibit such forms of practice.
The REAL issue is in the understanding of just what actually takes place; why it happens this way, and what praying to and through Mary or the Saints actually accomplishes. “Idolatry” by dictionary definition requires INTENT to divert; reverence, glory or Worship away from God and to someone / something else.
